Synopsis
The Trouble With Bernie is a book about ten-year-old Bernie Jones who lives in the 1950s. We meet his best friend Alex; his dog Weezer; his sister Charmaine; the big boys and their Blazing Bandits Club as Bernie tries to stay out of trouble in and around his neighborhood. The adventures are fun and heartfelt. The illustrations by Katie Miller are an excellent compliment to the entertaining stories. All ages will thoroughly enjoy this paperback while the reading level is perfect for 3rd thru 7th grades.
