Poetry. A stunning retrospective of Prado's lengthy, productive creative life,THESE MIRROS PROVE IT includes selections from all her major works, aswell as material too long scattered in now out of print magazines. Shewrites with a lyricism inspired by her ability to move into the depths ofthe psyche and bring back the messages found there. Diane DiPrima haswritten, about Prado's book ESPERANZA: "These poems hold a sweet ripeness,a vast dark promise that poetry will heal us, will heal the world." RobertPeters' response to previous writing has been, "Her writing is done, metaphorically speaking, with a unique, knife-sharp edge. Prado is bothpassionate and visionary." This book makes available Prado'sstrongest, most generous writing; it comes into the world at a time when weall need the healing true poetry and poetic-prose can offer.
