Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Clean, tight, unmarked; bump with creases to lower inside corner; p. 26 and p. 32 has corner turned; otherwise spine straight and uncreased; minimal wear; Many Canadians are interested in the development of military music as it has progressed through our participation in wars and peace-keeping. The melodies, the words and the background of these marches are of great historical interest but unfortunately much of their significance has been lost through the years. This exhaustively researched book supplies much information to the reader who, hopefully, will follow the well known melodies and sing alosng with the words. Today, military community bands perform these marches in concert and resource guide provides a variety of programs notes that ordinarily would not be available to announcers to add spice to their commentaries.
