Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Foreword by Mel Harder and Tommy Henrich. This is the story about an old autographed baseball that changes the authors perception of life. The ball is now on exhibit in the Babe Ruth Museum. There is a letter SIGNED by de la Torre to the Akron Becon Journal, enclosed, detailing the story of the book and is a review copy given to that newspaper. The author self-published the book in a limited edition. In the rear of the book are illustrated baseball cards of the 1934 All-Star team including Earl Averill, Tommy Bridegs, Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig, Heinie Manush, Pinky Higgins, Ban Chapman, Red Ruffing, Jack Russell, Lefty Gomez, Charlie Gehrignger, Sammy West, Tommy Henrich, Jimmy Dykes and many others. All of the cards are still intact, none have been cut out. Non price clipped, both the Dust Jacket and the book are fine condition.
