Gavin McLean's fine history of the company, its ships, services and men, provides an excellent record of a proud small shipping line. First edition of 1989, 144 pages including five appendices, notes, bibliography and index, b/w photos throughout. The extensive fleet list, the first appendix and occupying 40 pages, as well as photographs, has 34 highly detailed profile line drawings of ships in the fleet by S V Lampard, two maps,double page photo spread for title page. (The Lampard drawings are a highlight of the book.) Grey hard covers with gilt spine titles are NF, ditto text block, no inscriptions.
