About the Author

Lez Graham works full-time as a canine behaviour practitioner and gundog trainer, is a registered assessor with the Gundog Club, is the Education & Development Officer for the Guild of Dog Trainers and is a tutor with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training.

A dog behaviour specialist with a penchant for gundogs, Lez runs weekly gundog training classes. As a gundog trainer, Lez focuses on steadiness and obedience and, by bringing the behaviour element into her gundog training, her handlers get a deeper understanding of why we train the gundog the way we do. Moving away from the `old-style/traditional' gundog training and yet keeping the discipline of the well trained field dog; she encourages play and touch to facilitate a strong bond between dog and handler.

Lez has competed in Gundog field tests in New Zealand, competition obedience and `works' both of her gundogs during the shooting season. Lez is a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA), a master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers (GoDT) and is currently studying for her Masters Degree in Dog Behaviour & Psychology with Middlesex University. Lez lives in Wiltshire with her husband, her son and her two gundogs.
