Synopsis

This is it! Gary Brandner's famous book, "THE HOWLING." A must read!

"If you haven't read Gary Brandner you're missing a treat."
~ STEPHEN KING.

* * *

Karyn and her husband Roy had come to the peaceful California village of Drago to escape the savagery of the city. On the surface Drago appeared to be like most small rural towns.
But it was not.
The village had a most unsavory history. Unexplained disappearances, sudden deaths.
People just vanished, never to be found.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Dan Harding (illustrator). Special Limited Edition. First published in the dim dark past that is 1977. Remember 1977? The winner of the Stanley Cup was some team from Quebec; the #1 song on Billboard's top 100 was "Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright") by Rod Stewart; the World Series was won by the New York Yankees; Steve Biko was murdered by South African police; New York City endured its infamous 25-hour blackout, a serious boon to looters and lowlife morons; and nobody took advantage of that marvellous 25-hour opportunity to kneecap a pathological liar who would later become a second-rate television reality show host before becoming known as Donnie One-Term, judged by eminent historians as the fourth worst president in U.S. history. Essentially a seriously lousy year all-round, except for the original publication of this title, which became the 1981 movie of the same name, and starred Dee Wallace, Patrick Macnee and Dennis Dugan. This is a Signed Limited Collectors Edition, signed by Brandner on a special bound-in sheet at front. This is a Presentation Copy, as indicated on the aforementioned page. Garnet cloth w/gilt spine lettering, 197 pages, bound-in silver ribbon bookmark. The book is unmarked, and the dust jacket has light rubbing and thin scratches. All in all a nice copy, w/jacket now in protective mylar sleeve. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Signed by Brand, on title page. Book. Seller Inventory # 018723
