Synopsis
From Last to First is the story of how Charlie Spedding finished last in his first race but, many years later, won the London Marathon in 1984. It relates all the extremes of triumph and disaster that Charlie experienced. It tells of when he nearly died and when a botched operation almost ended his career. But it also tells a story of perseverance and determination, coupled with the sheer joy of running, which eventually brings his ultimate success in the Olympic Games.
