About the Author
Korero Books is an independent publisher of books on contemporary visual culture and design. Art Chantry is a legend of punk poster art and a graphic designer who has had his work exhibited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Museum of Modern Art, Seattle Art Museum, the Smithsonian, and the Louvre. The subject of the book Some People Can't Surf: The Graphic Design of Art Chantry, he has created designs for such record labels as Estrus, Rhino, Sub-Pop, and Trash City and such bands as the Cramps, Hole, Nirvana, and the Sonics.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. In a black hardcover with gilt titles to spine. With an unclipped black dust jacket with gilt and white titles to spine and front and a black and white illustration to front. Black end papers. 253 pp., extensively illustrated, mainly in colour. The book is in very good condition. The cover is free of shelf-wear but there is liquid spill damage to the bottom corners of the front and back boards. The binding is tight and the pages clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is good with generally just very minor shelf-wear to the extremities except for 1.5" tears to the bottom of the spine. There is liquid spill damage to the bottom corners, evident on the reverse and there is a bar code label to the bottom of the back. Seller Inventory # 911179
