About the Author

This author is characterised by her expertise in teaching staff how to apply the principles of practice in social work, specialising in adult safeguarding; public sector law and analysing risk. She has gained thirty years experience managing Health & Social Care Services and has led many Adult Services Safeguarding Strategies. She now has an active consultancy role to many local authorities and health services, particularly where systems and skills failures have caused human fatalities. Having served 4 years as an Executive Director of the Social Care Association, she was invited by the UK Department of Health to act as a Quality Assessor and national judge for the Health & Social Care Awards.She has also been an advisor to The Home Office and The Department of Constitutional Affairs
