This is a practice focused text with up to fifty case study based assessment questions and answers, designed to assist NVQ Assessors, tutors and learners alike. The key focus is to teach learners how to apply care principles within a wide range of professional responsibilities when working within the sector - to comply with National Minimum Care Standards, legislative requirements and the NOS. The book includes an access code to a personal on-line E-assessment, which can be used to test the user's knowledge of the application of basic care principles and responsibilities in the caring role. This comprehensive text and assessment book looks at the key areas of care principles and the consequent responsibilities for service-user rights: individuality, equality and diversity, anti-discriminatory practice, keeping and breaking confidentiality, personal conduct, working with data protection and information sharing, observing policy and procedure, multi-agency and partnership working, person centred assessment and working with the Single Assessment Process, the National Minimum Standards, the NOS and the legislative framework.
