About the Author

Edward Burrell has lived on boats on the River Thames for over 30 years. He has owned and converted two Dutch barges during the last 26 years and frequerntly travels on the river and the Thames Estuary and East Coast. From 1997 to 2002 he was chairman of DBA The Barge Association, editor of their award winning magazine 'Blue Flag' and a contributor to DBA's very successful 'The Barge Buyers Handbook'
