As Director of Artswork national youth arts development agency for 6 years, Ruth was involved in youth arts development at national, regional and local levels. Her work for Artswork included business planning and policy development, delivering training in youth arts project planning, management, and evaluation, consultancy work, and hands on project management. She has also written about young people and the arts for a number of publications, including Mapping Hidden Talents.
Her previous work history includes: youth arts co-ordinator, music tutor, publicity, promotion and marketing, freelance youth arts consultant, advisor and project manager for a range of organisations in the public and private arts sector, and for non-arts organisations including health, youth, and community services. Ruth now heads up the Wiltshire Community Fund, where she continues to put her fundraising skills to good use.
Out of hourse she plays bass guitar and sings with The Courgettes and their alter egos The Zucchinis.
