Synopsis
In Dead Right, Julia Welstead and her family have settled into life on the remote island of Sanday, in the northern archipelago of Orkney, and taken on the additional challenge of running a fifty acre coastal farm with an ever increasing selection of animals. Armed with nothing more than enthusiasm, determination and a good measure of humour, they learn how to plough fields, shepherd sheep, nurture pigs and cajole an old hay baler into life. With sweat, tears and laughter they work their way through the farming seasons, come rain or shine. The artist, Dominique Cameron also lives and works on Sanday. Her vibrant paintings focus on landscapes to which she has a close connection.
