About the Author

Baba Studio was founded in 2002 by husband and wife partnership Alex Ukolov and Karen Mahony. Alex is a Russian illustrator and Karen an Irish designer. They now run the studio from the centre of the old part of Prague, where they're surrounded by incredible art and architecture - and by amazing cats of course. The studio is well-known for extravagant, "Moderne Baroque" visuals with a distinct twist of both humour and the bizarre.
