A collection of hilarious monologues from the North of England as performed on BBC by Bill Maynard. Written in the traditional style of the music hall recitations of yesteryear. 160 pages of humour with cartoon illustrations. Foreword by Bernard Wrigley who you'll know from Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Phoenix Nights etc. who has been performing Gary Hogg's monologues for many years. About the Author
Gary Hogg served his time in the folk clubs of the North East of England. Inspired by the greats like Stanley Holloway, Marriott Edgar and Tyneside's Joe Wilson, Gary has been writing and performing his own comedy for many years. He has recently produced an Audio CD of his own Lancashire monologues soon to be followed by Tyneside and Yorkshire collections.
