Childrens Musical. Script and Score. Age Range 8 - 12. 6 original songs, 4 traditional carol excerpts with contemporary backings and 2 popular Christmas songs.
This highly entertaining and original children's musical starts as a school concert is ending. The children are singing ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ and the song gets ‘stuck’ as soon as they reach the words ‘five gold rings’. Matt and Lucy, two children who loathe each other, find themselves whisked away to a strange land, where they meet Mr. Partridge and various other characters from the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ song. Their mission is to find a missing gold ring in order for everything to return to normal. They will only succeed if they learn to resolve their differences and discover each other’s strengths, as well finding the true ‘gold’ that can be given at Christmas. The plentiful humour in the show is complemented by its meaningful underlying message.
