Sew Simple Hexi-flowers brings the art of English paper piecing, into the 21st century. This superb new book from popular author and quilter, Karin Hellaby, uses the hexagon and bishop s mitre paper shapes to make flowers, which are appliquéd to a background fabric. To create even more exciting designs, Karin draws new lines on these traditional shapes. With Karin s easy-to-follow techniques, there is no need to draw templates one at a time, no need to pin templates to the fabric, or cut the fabric with scissors - multiple templates can be cut from one tracing and multiple fabric shapes from one easy rotary cutting. With simple, step-by-step instructions and clear, helpful diagrams and patterns you ll quickly and easily produce your own hexi-flower quilts. Includes four projects and many more design ideas to guide and inspire you every step of the way.
