About the Author

Jennipher Marshall-Jenkinson has been a qualified Home Economist and Food Technologist for many years, spending the first years of her career working with the dairy industry. Marriage took her to live in Australia, where she helped set up the highly successful 'Microwave Information Council of Australia' (MICA). Since her arrival back in the UK, as well as raising her 2 sons, Jennipher has become the UK's leading microwave cookery expert and has been Chairman and Finance Officer for the UK's Microwave Technologies Association (MTA) since 1993 to the present time. Her recent book - Microwave Magic - The Heart of 21st Century Cooking won 'The People's Book Prize'. Since that time, the book has been re-printed 4 times - and continues to sell well, all over the world. It has been updated again in 2018. Other career successes have included setting up the digital imaging company - DirekTek Distribution, for which she was Finance Director and Company Secretary, from it's inception. She has been short listed by the small business bureau for 'Business Woman of the year' and been Vice President of the Hillingdon Business Women's network. She is an Ambassador for the charity Amos Trust and works with Umthumbo in South Africa, is a Scout leader and still volunteers with various local charities. Since 2006, she has also been Director of the travel companies: Chile Inside Out and Good Mountain guides.
