From the Author

History has been brought to life in this exciting new fantasy adventure novel for children (aged about 9 to 13). The story is the sequel to The Ring of Tima.
Richard, Hannah and James use a magic ring to transport themselves back in time, but they are trapped in the year 1715, just as an invading army of Jacobites is marching south through Lancashire to depose King George I.
Forced to join the tartan-clad rebels and work for the cruel Mrs Perkins, the children are befriended by a street urchin and helped by the ghost of a girl, whose mysterious messages and riddles must be solved. A secret agent in the King's army involves them in his dangerous plans, and they are led into a series of frightening and perilous adventures.
As they desperately try to return home, the children see the Jacobite Rebellion reach its climax, in the last major battle on English soil.
