Synopsis
Fall is a 36 page hardcover picturebook, written and illustrated by Chris Odgers. Through lavish illustrations, reminisent of victorian woodcut/etching with a contemporary edge, supported by romantic, macarbe poetry, the heartwarming story is told of a boy named Harvey who has discovered on Al'Hallows eve that he has the most bizarre costume of all. For a piece, the shape of a jigsaw puzzle, is missing from his chest, much to the alarm of his two friends Jack (a pumpkinhead scarecrow), and Sarah (a skeleton cowgirl). Putting trick or treat aside in the name of friendship, the trio set out on an adventurous rollercoaster ride through memory and metaphor, in search for Harvey's missing piece. Resulting in a Halloween the three will never forget. The book appeals to anyone who enjoys quality artwork and story telling from children to adults.
