About the Author
David Evershed is an experienced skipper of both sailing and motor barges. He has a degree in maritime history and writes regular articles for both of the leading English based barge associations. He lives with his Dutch born wife Margreet in Cornwall on board their sailing Tjalk "Jan Willem".
