Further information
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Jesus and Saul, these are amongst the most influential people of the last 4,000 years - so why cannot they be found in the historical record? Is this situation not strange? Jesus, Last of the Pharaohs at last identifies all these important characters - they were real people. The Biblical story, that has circulated around the globe, is simply a history of one family, Abraham and his descendants. His family have achieved this notoriety because they were very famous and extremely important in their own era, in fact Abraham was the most powerful man on Earth in his lifetime - he was a pharaoh of Egypt. In the Bible he was known as Abram, in the historical record he is the pharaoh Maybra. By such simple slight of hand, the pharaohs of Egypt have hidden their identity, but preserved their ancient history and blood-line. This is why this story has been told and retold down the millennia, it is the story of a royal blood-line, the oldest family tree in the world. These kings were born of the gods, they were not only royal, they were also Sons of God. They were supremely wealthy and they were ultimately powerful. Jesus, Last of the Pharaohs traces the history of this family from the time of Noah through to Jesus: and nearly all of the biblical characters can be identified in the historical record. All are pharaohs of Egypt or pharaohs in exile. The correlations between the Bible and the Egyptological record are simply overwhelming. The names, titles, dates and the achievements of these individuals all point towards them being the semi-divine kings of dynastic Egypt. The Bible records them as being simple shepherds, but in truth they were the Hyksos, the Shepherd kings of Egypt.
Yet despite this exalted position, they were eventually to fall from grace, simply because the religion of Egypt had changed. The old Apis Bull worship was destined to evolve into the new worship of sheep, hence the title of Hyksos, the Shepherd kings. But the people of Egypt did not approve, a civil war erupted - which resulted in the Exodus. Following the years of relative stability in Egypt, this royal dynasty has suffered the privations of exile on numerous occasions. Twice they were thrown out of Egypt herself and the second exile appears to have been permanent. But the torment was not to end, twice more they were thrown out of Jerusalem and again the second ignominy was permanent.
On this second exile from Jerusalem a new hero was born - Jesus. We trace the history of Jesus in great detail and find a new and amazing story of a wealthy, aristocratic and royal family. There are many unknown descriptions of Jesus and his followers in the ancient texts and these throw this new light onto his ministry. This new story of the life of Jesus can only be told because of a new interpretation of the life of the Biblical Saul. The ephemeral Saul has at last been traced in the historical record and it is this new evidence which allows the New Testament to be seen in its true light.
John the Baptist was high priest of Jerusalem, who was drowned in a baptismal font by Herod. It was the head of Joseph (brother of Herod) that was brought to the palace, not John's. Jesus was governor of Tiberias and he eventually became a popular rebel leader with a force of 600 men under his command. After fighting both Saul and the Romans, Jesus rides south to save Jerusalem, which is being besieged by both the Romans and the Jewish zealots under the command of Simon the Zealot. Jesus dies in Jerusalem in AD 68, long after the established date for his crucifixion, whilst defending the sacred city.
Jesus, Last of the Pharaohs, is a new and fantastic adventure through the Biblical texts, with dramatic new interpretations of the old creed at every twist and turn in the story. Yet despite the unbelievable nature of some of these claims, the fact is that all of the arguments in this book are fully supported by the established Biblical and historical texts. Theologians and historians cannot argue with the underlying thesis in this book, it is written in black and white, they can only dispute the radical interpretation which has been placed upon those texts.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. The exodus of the Hyksos pharaohs from Egypt to Jerusalem is an incredibly similar event to the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt to Jerusalem. Classical historians will not entertain any connection between the two, because this infers that the Israelite leaders were actually pharaohs of Egypt. However, Ralph Ellis has taken this obvious comparison and demonstrated the royal Egyptian ancestry of the Judaic patriarchs and also of Jesus. Ralph has also uncovered evidence for the New Testament Saul (St Paul) in the historical record, a discovery that brings with it several new accounts of the life of Jesus. Saul, the inventor of Christianity, was actually Josephus Flavius, a well-known historian. Jesus was the governor of Tiberias and owned a castle there; and he may have died during the siege of Jerusalem in about AD70, rather than AD 33. With illustrations.
