Synopsis

A common complaint by readers of books on the subject of King Arthur is that,no matter how long the book or how packed with information it may be,at the end the reader is still left asking the question,"but who was Arthur?"

The reason for this is that most writers on the subject of King Arthur,by cramming their books full of information, derived mainly from legends, poems and myths which are historically of no value, manage to create the illusion of having explained to you who Arthur really was, when in fact you still do not know the answer to the question, but, who was Arthur?"

In this book, the author has not used legends, poems and myths, instead basing his conclusions on reliable historical sources, such as,"The Annals of Ulster," "The Annals of Tighernach,"and Adomnan`s "Life of Columba," together with fresh evidence, hitherto unnoticed by historians. So as it is based on reliable historical sources and not on legends,at the end of this book you will not be left to wonder,"but who was Arthur?" because this book will provide a clear and unequivocal answer to that question, and most importantly it will be based on historical evidence. Are you ready for the truth?

From the Author

First book to identify King Arthur as a historical figure
David F. Carroll has, unlike other authors who have relied upon 12th century accounts to substantiate their theories of Arthur's identity, has instead ignored these and gone straight to the 6th and 7th century historical accounts on which these later legends are based. In the process providing for the first time evidence which proves that Morgan, Arthur's sister, actually existed. Arthur or Arturius (the 6th century Latin version of the name) found in this book is identical to the legendary King Arthur in so many respects that coincidence can be ruled out and can only lead to the conclusion that this is indeed the REAL Arthur.
