About the Author

Mark Sebba is a Reader in the Department of Linguistics and Modern English Language at Lancater University. His books are The Syntax of Serial Verbs (Amsterdam, John Benjamins, 1987), London Jamaican:language systems in interaction (London, Longman 1993) and Contact Languages: Pidgins and Creoles, a textbook in the Mamillan Modern Linguistics series (1997).
