The Journey From Books To Multimedia
Expanding Griffin and Sabine into The Ceremony of Innocence was an extraordinarily fascinating process. From the beginning we were determined to try and create a CD-ROM that transformed the books, guiding them into a realm we defined as the electronic theatre of the imagination.
While holding on to the story we took full advantage of the new media to expand many themes that Griffin and Sabine could only hint at-the mirrored self, alchemy, bananas, the hero's journey, Yeat's poetry.
Ceremony of Innocence absorbed many passions-everyone involved from the actors, and musicians, to the animators and programmers seemed to bring something intensely personal to the project, and the outcome is way beyond anything I could have conceived alone.
