Jonathan Potter says, 'With the increasing interest in the press and popularity on television and radio of programmes concerned with antiques and their values, it seemed essential to try and provide answers to the question 'how much is it worth?' As it is impossible to give specific prices for items, which can differ markedly from one example to another, broad ranges are given. It is now possible to look in the book, identify maps of interest and find out what can be afforded, or just dreamt of - the book is now a much more complete collectors' guide.'
