Synopsis

Three action-packed thrillers featuring modern knight-errant, beach walker, gin-drinker and master of wisecracks — Travis McGee.

THE QUICK RED FOX: It looked like a classic blackmail set-up with a film star and a telephoto lens, until the note arrived: 'Shameless Whore of Babylon you will be cut down by the sword of Decency'.

A DEADLY SHADE OF GOLD: Sam Taggart came back from Mexico with a golden Aztec idol. At 1am McGee found him in a cheap motel room with his throat cut ...

BRIGHT ORANGE FOR THE SHROUD: Arthur Wilkinson was a nice guy before they took his money. After that he was a wreck. The only trouble about getting it back was that Boone Waxwell wanted to keep it.
