Synopsis
This is a biography of Tom Rolt, one of England's finest industrial historians, who was highly active in the preservation of older forms of transport. The very survival of the canal system owes much to his work, particularly as the Inland Waterways Association's first Secretary. In addition, he founded the Vintage Sports Car club, and his use of volunteers on the Talyllyn Railway was unprecedented.
