Synopsis
In this book the author makes no concession to the popular 'how-to-do-it' approach to drawing, neither does he offer any easy solution. Based on experience gained in teaching drawing for over 20 years, he believes students in particular should allow themselves to be ruled by what they see- so that their drawings bear the imprint of observation, rather than adopting an easy formula for producing images which are in some way striking. Gerald Woods (author) is also the artist, and he explains the teachings of drawing seen through his eyes as an teacher of art. A very interesting approach to the art of drawing.
