A day in the life of
Low Life is one man's struggle to cope with the inadequcies he sees within himself. Rooftop Rafferty is mixed up but self aware. The reader is invited to view a man's life in relation to a day. Unlike Ulysses by Joyce, who depicts a beautiful day in a worthwhile man's life, I wanted to view a miserable day in a worthless man's life. The anti-hero (Rafferty) is the lowest of the low. A man who takes his baby on a drinking and thieving binge. His only redeeming features being his sense of humour and his endearing ability to laugh at himself before the reader gets a chance.
