About the Author
Nancy Field is a wildlife biologist, nature writer and publisher of nature books for children. She was an organizer of the first Earth Day. She has degrees from the University of Wisconsin and South Dakota State University.Corliss Karasov a science writer for more than twenty years received her bachelor's training in biology at the University of Minnesota and did graduate coursework in biology and jounalism at UCLA. She started writing about science when she worked as a naturalist for Minnesota State Parks and as a consulting representative for National Audubon Society in California. She has since written numerous medical and scientific books, textbooks, journals, magazines, newspapers, and museums.
