Synopsis

The Dragon and the Mouse is a story about relationships. A dragon and a mouse are very different. One is big, the other little. One is powerful, the other is not. One likes to eat hot peppers, the other likes Swiss cheese. How do two creatures so different from each other learn to understand and accept each other? That is what this story is about. The Dragon and the Mouse speaks to the feelings of children AND adults, and leaves a lasting impression with both.

About the Author

Dr. Timm is a child clinical psychologist with over thirty years of experience working with children, parents, and families. He is father to 3 adult children, who blessed him with 4 grandchildren, all of whom have been, and are his most important teachers! Regarding his books, first and foremost, the Dragon and Mouse books entertain children. The books also gently speak to the daunting developmental tasks young children face, which is why children insist the books read to them over and over again! The books are used by parents, day care providers, preschool and elementary school teachers, child care specialists, librarians, and counselors as catalysts for engaging children in self-disclosure, exploration, dialog, problem solving, and healing. A fourth book soon to be publish, The Dragon and the Mouse: the Treasure, is about overarching ambition, and the transforming power of love. Also, soon to be published is Flagon the Dragon and Tank (A Bulldog), a story about bullying, and the countering force of nonresistance. Dr. Timm is available for consultation, public speaking, or questions at Stepstone46@yahoo.com
