About the Author

Ernest Lowe (San Francisco, CA) is known for his work as a counselor, educator, producer, and television series writer. He has also extended his interest in health to encompass the health of our planet through his pioneering work in industrial ecology. He has lived with diabetes for 45 years. Gary Arsham, MD, PhD (San Francisco, CA) is a physician/educator specializing in patient education and health behavior. He is a member of the national Boards of Directors of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. He has personally lived with diabetes for more than 40 years.
