Thank you for checking out N3! This book is less a "text book" (although it is frequently used as such) and more a growing volume of information and experiences surrounding nonlinear film and video editing. It was written to assist me in teaching what used to be a new and unusual twist on editing to professionals in Hollywood; it addressed their very real needs and questions. It needed to explain film to videopeople, and video to film people, and desktop computers to the lot of them. It reads like one of my interactive lectures -- with a little stand up to keep anyone from falling asleep. So enjoy it; and please give me feedback so that I can get your uptodate questions answered in newer editions. It's a living book for real world people. And I am told it is both informative and pretty enjoyable. At least that's what they tell me...
