Navajo Code Talkers: Native American Heroes is the true story of a group of young men (some as young as 15) who put aside the bitterness of past mistreatment to develop the world's only unbreakable code. Without this "secret weapon," the Americans might not have won in the Pacific during World War II. Though targeted to middle grade readers, this story will appeal to ages 8 through 80 who have an interest in the Navajos, cryptography, or World War II.
