The Father: Mythology and Changing Roles examines the changing role of the father in today's family and explores the impact of fatherhood on a man's life. Our incomplete mythology assigns earth to women through the earth mother and sky to men through the sky father. The colmans contrast this with mythologies, among them the Egyptian, which allow four, not two. Men then regain their natural link to earth and women to sky and spirit. This is a valuable book. -Robert Bly, Poet
