Synopsis
WE SPECIALIZE IN AVIATION BOOKS. 200 pages plus 8 pages of B&W photographs. First published as 'Triumph' in 1961, this is a good account of the three USN seaplanes that set off from New York in May 1919 in an attempt to cross the Atlantic. Each of the three was at some stage forced down into the stormy seas, but one of the five-man crews eventually made it to Portugal. Lightly aged on edges, otherwise Contents Fine in lightly curled covers. Becoming scarce.
