Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Octavo. 264 pages. Hardcover with a white dust jacket, now in mylar. The jacket has a blue "Signed" label taped to the inside of the mylar at the foot of the spine. The jacket shows some edge wear and has a tear at the headcap and some creasing to the front turn-in. SIGNED by the author on the front flyleaf, "Joe Nason, Westborough, Mass". Stated First Edition. Illustrated with photos. Nason was a Dauntless Dive Bomber in WWII when he was shot down and captured by the Japanese. He became a POW from 1943 to 1945, and among over 60 POWs in his group, he was one of only 7 to survive.
