Synopsis
First published in 1978 by Shoal Creek Publishers and subsequently by the author's own press, Maverick, in the early 1980s. Erickson, Texas rancher and writer, recounts the 15 days he and photographer Bill Ellzey spent ambling on horseback across the Texas Panhandle, camping and swapping stories with the people of the Canadian River Valley.
