Synopsis
Lewis Carroll's two Alice stories - "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass" - have entertained and amused children and adults since Victorian times. Many of their phrases and expressions, such as the famous "Curiouser and curiouser" have entered the language of everyday use. In this volume, author, editor, musical humorist and long-time Alice fan David W. Barber brings together some of the best and most memorable of Carroll's expressions from the Alice stories, together with an index for easy reference. The text is complemented by a selection of the illustrations that John Tenniel created for the original editions.
