As he grew up he followed the work trail to Ferintosh, Grimshaw, Keg River and Bashaw. It was the era of horse power and manual labour. His anecdotes cover cattle trading, hewing logs, freighting in the bush, line-cutting for the telegraph, and moving goods by river boat - events up to 1931. 4 sections of b/w photos complement TEXT. Cond : Paper wrapper is white, lettering is brown, front cover illustration. of three men and the grub box. Corners mostly sharp, very light wear to edges, spine fine. Almost UNsoiled.
