From the Author

It really teaches haircutting--no guesswork, no frustration
The first and only (?) cut-by-cut guide has 100s of photos showing how to give expert haircuts on your first attempt. My book teaches 3 basic haircuts with several variations of each one--all are people-pleasing cuts that are extra easy to care for. In addition, my book thoroughly explains how to handle tools safely and efficiently, and it also has a chapter on determining the best length and shape for anyone's hair and how to deal with problem hair. I've been a barber since 1963 and I'm also a teacher with a degree in elementary education, but most important, I've been successful at teaching others (professionals and home haircutters) the skills I've acquired over the years. I wrote, illustrated and published the book myself back in 1985, and I'm about to have a 4th printing with only slight revisions over the years. The wonderful letters I get from folks who use the book are the reason I keep getting the book reprinted. I welcome your comments.
