Fourth printing, two volume slipcased hardcover set, both books have a slight lean to the bindings, mild bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, rubbing to the covers, and a touch of smudging to the edges of the text block. The original map is laid in at the back, and is bumped at a corner. Overall, a Very Good set in like, unclipped dust jackets, which have bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, rubbing with a touch of edge wear to the covers, and mild sun toning to the spine with scuffs to the heads. Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Massive, handsome, and important facsimile reprint of all of the 421 plates contained in the original five folio albums devoted to antiquities from the 1798 Napoleon Bonaparte expedition that first introduced the West to ancient Egypt. Dustjacket has some serious sunning, with a few small closed tears at the edges, although now encased in a Mylar sleeve. Aside from some slight sunning to the very edges of the boards, though, the binding is solid and tight, the edges and corners are sharp, and the interior is clean and clear of markings. A separate folded map is laid in at back. Contextual introductions are in English, with facsimile reproductions in black and white. Excellent appendices. Seller Inventory # 017630
