Synopsis
This book describes a walk down the limestone dales of the Peak District, starting from Castleton. The route takes walkers through 20 limestone dales to Dove Dale and Thorpe in the south. The walk is designed as a challenge to complete within 24 hours for a red badge, or 48 hours for a green badge. Camp sites, hostels and more than ten inns lie along the route, passing through stunning scenery. Since 1969 more than 62,000 people have walked the route, raising money for charity in the process.
