This 43-mile walk covers a route across the Peak District from the start of the Pennine Way at Edale, to Ilam in the south. On the way walkers traverse the wealth of scenic splendour of the area and link the five principle rivers together - Noe, Derwent, Wye, Dove and Manifold. It is a challenge to complete the walk in a day - about 14 hours of walking - but it is best walked in two or even four days. There are numerous campsites, hostels and accommodation en route together with more than a dozen inns.
