This is a study of football pools winners with wins of #200,000 or more. All pools winners up to 1971 were traced, and approximately two-thirds of them were interviewed. The book includes eight case studies, and a descriptive and statistical account of what happened to all the winners in the years after their win. The topics covered inlcude how pools wins are spent, what changes they bring in the lives of the winners - social, political and psycholgical - and the effects of winning on overall level of happiness.
