About the Author

William M. Manger, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University in 1944 and his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1946. Norman M. Kaplan is Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas where he has been on the faculty for more than forty years.
