A novel of the CCC camps, as represented by a NW Pennsylvania camp. The CCC boys fought hard, played ball, chased girls, fought forest fires, built roads, built most of the Appalachian trail (among others), planted trees, survived dust, mud, snake bite, and about every other hardship. The CCC boys were victims of the great depression, but they persevered and their work is an ongoing and lasting legacy that almost every American still receives tangible benefits. This is an autobiographical story of one camp, but is fiction.
