The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle was the USAF's first air superiority fighter (dog fighter) to enter USAF inventory in 20 years. Learning hard taught lessons in the skies over North Vietnam, the F-15 was designed and built as a pure air-to-air dog fighter following the slogan "not a pound for air to ground". Interviews with pilots help to provide first-hand accounts of the Eagle's capabilities.
